Every week, Second Act Success will examine ways real women have pivoted from their first career to their second (and sometimes third) act. We will look at pitfalls and success stories. We will talk to individual women who have taken that leap and started over, finding happiness and success in unexpected ways. 

Second Act Success will cover issues that are plaguing women and keeping them from taking the scary next steps in career satisfaction. We will talk about overcoming issues like child care, benefits, raising capital, a lack of confidence, fear and many others. Interviews with women in all areas – in all types of career paths – will focus on the different ways of finding second act success. Hear about mistakes they make and how to avoid them. Learn how to identify hidden opportunities, decision triggers, or nutric (opposite of toxic) contributors. 

The thought of starting over can be overwhelming, but we are here to assure you that you are not alone. Some career changes evolve naturally and organically, but most don’t. The majority of women make an intentional decision to start something new, to do something completely different. Whether that is because they are returning to the workforce after raising children, because they hated their career trajectory, or something like the pandemic gave them time to reevaluate their priorities.
